About Lisa Prokopowitz

Lisa Prokopowitz is a Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist and Recording Artist, who has produced two independent CD's entitled “Fill This Temple” and "Sacred Sojourn--Follow Me". She owns and operates two web-based small businesses: Shining River and Mending Music. MendingMusic.com is her Music Therapy/Activity Consulting business.

Lisa has also been featured on other CD’s, and has sung extensively with various groups and as a soloist. Under the business name Shining River, she not only makes CD’s available, but also frequently shares her personal writings and devotionals to encourage those who visit the website.

Groups with which Lisa has sung (or currently sings) include the Loving Grace Worship Team (with Wayne and Debbie Monbleau), the “Oracle Band", and the Worship Team at Freedom Church (where she leads worship regularly along with a wonderful group of believers). In addition, she sings as a solo artist at local Coffee Houses and other venues. Her passion is using her music to encourage, inspire and draw others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, regardless of the setting in which she finds herself. Prior to Covid, she served quite often on the worship team of Powerhouse Christian Church (which sadly closed its doors during Covid).

Lisa resides in Northern New Jersey (USA) with her husband. They have one adult son.

About Mending Music

MendingMusic.com is Lisa's Music Therapy business. Lisa Prokopowitz is a Music Therapist--Board Certified, as well as an Activity Consultant Certified. She works with a variety of clientele, including Seniors in various settings (such as Long Term Care and Assisted Living Facilities, etc.), TBI patients, Hospice, etc. Unfortunately, Covid restrictions have led to much of Lisa's in-person MT services being limited. She still provides remote Music Therapy sessions and is open to providing remote and/or in-person services to those who so desire.
